1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.
1.2 Apologies were received from Dawn Bowden AM and Julie Morgan AM.
2.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
3.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of Care Forum Wales.
4.1 The Committee agreed the motion.
5.1 The Committee had further discussions about its inquiry into the physical activity of children and young people and agreed to issue invites to stakeholders to attend evidence gathering sessions in the spring term.
6.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales.
6.2 David Francis agreed to provide the Committee with a breakdown of the number care homes in Wales which had been closed by CSSIW for poor service provision.
7.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of Cwm Taf University Health Board and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
8.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and Hywel Dda University Health Board.
8.2 Dr Chineze Ivenso agreed to provide the Committee with the findings, so far, of the 2017 audits on the use of antipsychotic medication with patients who have dementia living in care home settings in the Newport borough.
8.3 Both Health Boards agreed to write to the Committee setting out what data on antipsychotic prescribing they believed should be collected nationally to enable health boards to benchmark against other and against NICE standards.
9.1a The Committee noted the additional information from Community Pharmacy Wales in relation to the inquiry into the use of antipsychotic medication in care homes.
9.2a The Committee noted the letter from the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Well-being and Sport in relation to the upcoming Committee inquiry into suicide prevention.
9.3a The Committee noted the letter from the Chair of the Public Accounts Committee regarding the NHS Finance (Wales) Act 2014.
10.1 The Committee agreed the motion.
11.1 The Committee considered the evidence given during items 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 of the meeting.
